We're driving back to Utah to find Monument Valley. It's not even on the map. The drive over here was mountainous and beautiful. It was especially nice not to have the big drop offs and windy roads that we had a couple days ago. We drove by the '4 Corners', which is the only place in the United States that you can stand on four states at once. The states are Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah.
We could have been early to this sale, but even though we were on the right road, the buildings weren't marked very well. We ended up driving up a rutted, dirt road to the school. About 3/4's the way up, Jim got out and walked to the school for directions. We had passed the Church a mile or so back. Actually, from the direction we came in, trees were growing in front of the Church sign. We had already stopped twice eariler for directions. One place we stopped, was a group of German tourist. They couldn't help, but they did take a picture of the truck. One lady said that her mother was Seventh-day Adventist.
All the people we have visited have been so kind. They have been patient and understanding with our fumbling. These people were no exception. They were sympathetic about our not knowing where to go, being late and everything. They introduced us to everyone who came in the door. This was our biggest sale yet. Our sale was from 4 - 6:00. It was almost 7:00 when our last customer came in.
We're staying in a RV Park just up the road. And we actually got in and parked before dark. We even had supper before dark too.
It's so beautiful here. We're right in the middle of huge rock cliffs. The rock is mostly red. It would be fun to a small car and go exploring.
