Another blessed Sabbath Day! It's interesting how a good sermon and fellowship with friends makes Sabbath so special.
We went to the academy church. The first person we saw listed in the bulletin was Ernie Pearson, playing the organ. We've known Ernie since our academy days in Enterprise. But we haven't seen him since, so I'm glad we knew who to look for. We've all changed over the last 45 years.
Pastor Avery Dick had prayer for the Church service. We would have recognized him anywhere, he looks so much like his brother, Elwin, who is my sister's father-in-law.
Pastor Dick and Ardis Stenbakken, Avery's daughter, invited us home for lunch. What a treat! Wonderful fellowship and good food. We had a delightful time. They are both going to autograph their books and DVD's for our sale.
Our sale was scheduled from 7:30 - 9:30. People were there and ready by 7:00, so we opened early.
Our first customers were from Kansas. She recognized me from the 3ABN program I was on. It's kind of exciting being a 'celebrity'!
And we made connections with several other people. We were open until 9:30, did our cash up, restocked the shelves, vacumned and was ready to leave by 11:30. We took a couple dozen wrong turns going back to the RV Park. One road was interesting - after going about 1 1/2 miles, it had a sign saying 'no outlet'. Sure enough, about 200' further, there was no more road. We were so glad that we weren't hooked to the trailer. After all that, we still had to go to WalMart for groceries for tomorrow. Shopping that time of night is certainly less crowded than daytime shopping.
